From my youth

and

fast forward to todays hollywood hunk...

Hmmm,

Perhaps I am looking it from a mans perspective though, a mans man rather than er well not? Perhaps the caring side has superceded what I grew up with? Changing times and all that?

I think the male actors in the past got on both sexes radar all the way from Clarke Gable, ie you wanted to be with them or be them, but I don't want to be Mr Bloom, no matter how attractive he is to the opposite sex.

I'd take Newman over Bloom anyday, but I'm in the minority amongst my friends.

You say there's no real men actors anymore, but there are no real men, full stop! If they don't look like clean shaven girls, they certainly act like them.

We need more Gene Hunts in this world! (and that's not a euphamism!|)

For years women have been telling us to get in touch with our feminine, to take bettr care ourselves etc. Now they are complaining about what they have created

Aisle, alter, hymn is a marriage ceremony not instructions for a relationship.

Not sure that I agree, in the girly cinema world maybe but in the grown up woman cinema - Edward Norton, Clive Owen, Richard Armitage and of course Philip Glenister all spring to mind.

Personally no man who looks like he spends large amounts of time in front of a mirror will ever be of interest to me and getting in touch with your female side - really don't please.

Haing just googled that to find out what you were talking about - let me just say big difference between real adult men behaviour and 16 year old men behaviour.

But they're both so hideously ugly.

Someone mentioned Clive Owen, and I'd agree with that, but he's had his teeth fixed and looks too "Hollywood" now. Gerard Butler's a bit of alright and he has body hair (which also seems to be a thing of the past) lick

Are a couple of real men that spring to my mind, although they are lacking on our screens at present.

Yup more expensive toys is the way forward. Btw did anyone else see "men behaving badly" on Dave last night and think "whats wrong with that exactly?" at certain points?
