fast forward to todays hollywood hunk...
Hmmm,
Perhaps I am looking it from a mans perspective though, a mans man rather than er well not? Perhaps the caring side has superceded what I grew up with? Changing times and all that?
I think the male actors in the past got on both sexes radar all the way from Clarke Gable, ie you wanted to be with them or be them, but I don't want to be Mr Bloom, no matter how attractive he is to the opposite sex.

Not sure that I agree, in the girly cinema world maybe but in the grown up woman cinema - Edward Norton, Clive Owen, Richard Armitage and of course Philip Glenister all spring to mind.
Personally no man who looks like he spends large amounts of time in front of a mirror will ever be of interest to me and getting in touch with your female side - really don't please.

But they're both so hideously ugly. Someone mentioned Clive Owen, and I'd agree with that, but he's had his teeth fixed and looks too "Hollywood" now. Gerard Butler's a bit of alright and he has body hair (which also seems to be a thing of the past)
