I realise all factory freelander V6s are auto - is it possible to mate one to the 1.8 manual box?

It must be possible as the V6 was used with a manual in both the MG ZT/Rover 75 and MG ZS 180. Not sure if this is a different bix to the 1.8 though. Also think it might be rather costly to swap in.
