So, that's the line-up for Renault done: Kubica and Petrov. No huge surprises with the choice of one experienced driver and one sponsorship-sponge rookie.

Ho Pin Tung is expected to be their 3rd driver. Not confirmed, but expected. If true, he won't be the first 3rd driver with a less-than-impressive record in junior racing formulae, but I was hoping Grosjean or a more promising candidate would be chosen instead.

Petrov looked very quick at times in GP2 last year so has some potential to be a good driver whilst having a massive amount of sponsorship to go with it. I just wonder if his mum will be around to smack the mechanics again when the car breaks down laugh

Petrov is a good choice, he's got speed and some much needed cash. They'll need to keep his mother in check though!

The guy shouldn't be anywhere near an F1 car, except maybe to clean it.

Another who will go as soon as his money does.

I like Petrov, he's a real fighter - going side by side through Eau Rouge in GP2 this year is a good example.

I don't see him challenging for championships, but he has a good turn of speed and can bring funding making him a good fit for Renault.
