Spotted a couple of times whilst sailing in the Grenadines last week , sorry no 'photo's but it had a hull shape like a an old submarine , smoth and sleek superstructure , large panels in the hull that retracted for tender access etc, very weird looking with just a stylised 'A' on the stern , think it is called either super A or big A any ideas chaps ?

Yep thats the one !

She really was quite spectacular , saw her a in a couple of locations. She seemed to have some sort of engine systym that could keep her in one position without the need for anchoring when launching a tender for a shore party etc, although the article confirms that all the kit is hidden , this boat seemed to handle like it was on rails !

I'm not sure I like the look of her TBH although I haven't seen her in the flesh. Saying that it does take me some time to get used to new shapes and designs in anything transport related.

That bow looks like it's a wave piercer.

I like it - the bow makes it look as if it's going to blow tanks and dive...

Someone has been thinking about that for a while, designs are there just need someone with $80+ million to build it.

AFAIK Using GPS with drive pods that's not unusual these days.

dGPS is differential GPS, using a fixed reference point (ie Ground station) to further improve the accuracy. Dynamic positioning (DP) is subtly different.
