My wife found this crawling on the bedroom carpet last night. Any ideas what it might be?

Lots of legs but not like a caterpillar - more like a centipede.

Never seen anything like it in the house before.

Heaps of snow outside so I put the wee fella in the shed. Hopefully he survived the night.

Cheers,

Are they not the thing that turn into moths?

- could be very wrong about the above, but have seen them before.

Looks like it could be a carpet beetle larva.

It is a Wooly Bear, the larvae of the dreaded Wool Moth. All those holes in your woolen underpants you have been wearing this climate change winter are a result of infestation by these cuddly creatures and not blast holes as a result of Christmas overindulgence!!
