Not body work as such, but the exterior of the car.

My Caterham's hood and doors have plastic windows like a lot of soft top cars. These are going cloudy and I was wondering if they can be brought back to new, or at least improved? If not, I know that there's nothing I can do.

Any ideas?

Renovo make a product which will help restore the 'as new' look to your plastic windows. Do a search upon their website.

Meguiars also make a product Plastx which can be bought at Halfords.

Zaino Z-14 is worth looking at too.

Have you tried normal car wax? Worked a treat on the wifes convertible.

Hi and thanks for the replies.

I haven't tried anything yet as I wouldn't have known where to start.

Can you tell me why they go cloudy?

It is a combination of tiny dirt particles getting trapped when the hood is lowered, this scratching the surface and also the plastic having to stretch / fold when not properly warm. At under 14c the flexibility of the plastic is tested.
