Undoubtedly somebody has, but I don't know if any Pistonheader would, or would admit to it if he had, seeing as they are based on the small Reliant cars. Sort of like a kit car for numpties really.
I like the classic shape eventhough I would tinker a bit with the styling......
, and the dimensions are pretty close what in mainland Europe would be considered Microcars.Potentially interesting for a different niche instead of the classic kitcar market......it could get a new lease of life, maybe...

The Rumen started life as a Microcar.....

Maybe with a restyling job you could get close to this shape......

This Pistonheader would love to have a go in one, apparently they do quite well in classic trials and are very sweet to drive. They are extremely light and manageable - I like the looks too.I hadn't realised that Pistonheads had stopped being about interesting to drive sporting cars.

I really like this little car! no info on prices though. i just wish they put the front/nose of a liege on it though. it would look a lot nicer if they did IMHO.http://www.4stroke-design.com/

I hadn't realised that Pistonheads had stopped being about interesting to drive sporting cars. It doesn't matter of how it looks, eventhough I think that if it looks pleasing to the eye it's a bigger bonus,.... but most importantly its having fun with our cars, no matter how big or small.
Personally I like smaller cars, but that is me....

I don't think it is up to anyone person, or even small groups, to decide what it's OK to say and what it's not OK to say on any particular subject. Each of us is entitled to put forward their own opinion and I put forward mine, and will defend my right to do so vigorously. If your opinion is different then by all means you should put it forward, but I don't believe that you are entitled to suggest that my opinion doesn't belong here.
Incidentally, I think you will find that many other PHers would agree that the Reliant Foxes and Kittens were not exciting, or even interesting cars, and that they, and any kit car based on them, would have very limited appeal except to people who had a penchant for small cars, or an interest in trials.

Thank God we're all entitled to our opinions and can still do so here or in any oher forums, but maybe you will agree with me that you can see a lot of bashing going on lately on many threads, not on the Kitcar section of PH I would have to addd, but on other sections I've noticed that it does happen...... on anything that is slightly different or has a different view from the norm or against what is considered the common view or how it should be done....
I've seen this go on on many threads in the last few years and I've been here for awhile.......

As you say, you should defend your opinions and I would defend your rights as mine to continue doing so if it were threatended, like any other person in this forum, but maybe the impression the other PH'r got from your reply was that you knew nore that he did on the subject, and even if it were true.....opinions are opinions, everyone has one and they count just like everyone elses, not more or less, just the same, especially in a forum....
I read with interest your replies as you certainly know your stuff and I'm really looking forward in seeing your project at Stoneleigh this year, but just remember that we're all different and some times being diplomatic is best....

By the way, I've seen no small groups on PH or in any other forum so far that could influence opinions....but if you have I'd be really curious to know who they are ?
Heck I've been posting here because of the liberty I could have in posting my unique views or concepts or ideas or other......otherwise I would have chosen a mainstream forum and bought myself a VW Golf as regular car.....

Enough OT and back in topic :
I know very little about Reliants in general, but what I like about the Tempest or Liege is the diminutive looks and its classic British design.
Something very unique and different that you hardly see abroad anymore and that I admire very much about British kits....I would consider modern running gear If I ever considered such a vehicle, so to me it wouldn't matter what it runs on or its based on, just my personal opinion.

Had a look, quite nice, not much chance of getting one on the road over here legally, though.

JZR's use honda's. not too sure about tri-king, but i have seen a few with guzzi motors.
