Chaps

Has anyone ever used roadsporthire.com to rent a Caterham? I have been contemplating getting one for a weekend and going for a potter about Yorkshire.

I hired a Caterham for a day from Roadsport at the back end of last summer. All very friendly and we got some useful route recommendations. We got lucky with a rare sunny day, which helped, and had a great time. There are plenty of superb roads in the area for a car like the Caterham.

I assume when you say "potter" you don't really mean it ? wink

I was contemplating this as a 50th birthday gift to myself in April but I think it's a bit pricey. Only 120 miles free + 50p per mile thereafter? Crikey when we go out for an evening hoon in summer we do 150miles no sweat, imagine how many miles in a full day. How easy is it to disconnect the speedo rolleyes

Hi guys, im sure Scott will be on here soon but I rented the car in oct last year for a long weekend-fri-mon with 400miles. It was an awesome experience,i was blasting round the peak district for hours and hours, day after day and still had miles leftover when I got dropped it off. All I can say is I really recommend hiring one,or both for a day as you'll then be hooked and find yourself trawling the classifieds for one...like me! Get one for a day-you wont look back and im sure Scott would consider doin you a deal!

Scott kindly let me help him with a demonstration lap at Tockwith during last year's minster FM show where we were also exhibiting (and did a few demo's in our F430). Great guy and fantastic fun, have not been out on the roads up in the dales yet but I will be as soon as I get some time off!

Good man-be sure to let us know how you get on! A weekend's better value than the day and plus you can make your mate's day too! Hope you have lots of funsmile

My friend hired one from Scott last year and thoroughly recommended it
He turned up when it was pouring down so they even offered to postpone it at no cost.

I spoke to Scott at CITP at Harewood as well as my wife wants to have a go in one.

My friend loved the experience so much that within a week he bought his own.

Luckily I know him well and he allowed me to drive it (although it was a tight squeeze!!!!)
and have even had a driving session around Cadwell Park in it as well.

Cheers
Richard

Hi All

Scott here - we have great customers who have a super time with no exceptions mercifully so far.

Looks like we're just about to buy another car, an SV more suited for touring as one of our customers is off to Switzerland for 10 days in Aug with one of our cars.

We'll always do fellow PHers a deal

THANKS FOR ALL THE NICE COMMENTS FROM THE CHAPS WHO HAVE BEEN WITH US AND WHO KNOW THOSE WHO HAVE. CAN'T TELL YOU HOW MUCH THAT MEANS TO US. We do try hard but in all honestly it's a pleasure to be enthusiastic around our cars and the nice people we meet.

If ever you see us at a show please say hello smile

Ta Scott

Hi Trickie

That's Phil Morris' car - smashing guy and mad as a box of frogs. He went out and it chucked it down but he persevered and had a great time.

He's done a really nice job on that car. He came over in it when he got it and we went out for a run but he's really improved it.

Please send him our best regards.

Will do, Scott.

My biggest problem is getting another go in it
but will wait for some better weather.

Hope to bump into you again soon.
All the best
