Flat Roof Repairs
Discussion
Try www.jandjasphalt.co.uk. and ask for Daniel. I've used them a few times for repairs in and around London and they've always been reliable.
I would'nt bother asking for a quote for a relatively small repair, as it will not be worth the contractor's time.
It will be far better to source a firm that you can trust, establish that their hourly rates are reasonable,( approx. £25 per hour in Scotland) and then get on with the job on a time and expenses basis.
With this method, you should attract more interest.

Dear HappyGoLucky,
How old is the roof?
Have you been up there yourself?
Be prepared for a new roof. If the roof is generally old then by the time you notice a leak it may be too late for a repair. It may anyway be a symptom of the whole thing needing replacing. The boarding may be already saturated and when that happens it's bye bye roof.
I hope I'm being pessimistic but at least you're prepared for the classic teeth sucking preparatory to a quote of reaming proportions
regards,
Jet

Briefly last summer to seal a leaking rooflight and it all seemed ok (not that I'm a roofer)jet_noise said:

I am, but I don't want to if I don't have to.jet_noise said:

The two leaks that are apparent inside the property are close to the party wall and I'm hoping that the problem is more with the join between our roof and next doors (which is in an awful state)
Isoflex is your answer. Clean any suspect areas thoroughly first with a scraper or wire brush and allow the surface to dry. At this time of year you will probably have to warm the Isoflex in an oven first, then apply a liberal coating to the problem area with a stiff brush. A 15 year old flat roof should last another 15.
