What's this fishy thing?
Discussion
Can anyone help me identify what this is? I think it's probably some kind of shark, about 5-6 feet long with neon spikes (apparently!) along its back. Found somewhere in the mid-Atlantic. More importantly, how dangerous are they likely to be?!

It has to be a ghost fish as I cannot see the photo.
Neither can i now, but it worked fine 5-odd minutes ago. Very strange.I still say it's tuna, yellow fin one perhaps.
Thanks, by the way. It does seem to look like tuna. Apparently about 8 of them have been barging into my friend's boat all morning - she was starting to get a little concerned they'd break something!

Am I the only one to find it a little funny that there really is someone on a boat in the mid Altantic who cannot tell Tuna from sharks?
Tell her not to go for a dip. Ever.
I'll tell you what I'm amazed by. Someone can take a photo of a fish, in the middle of the Atlantic, email it to a friend, who can then get it identified by a popular motoring forum !Tell her not to go for a dip. Ever.
Progress eh ?
