Week started well with the shower pump packing up (pop to Plumb It to buy a new one)

Next, moved on to the central heating pump packing up (phone Gritish Bas, they will be round on Monday {good job it's not cold eh!})

Then to compensate for the lack of heating - accidentally set fire to the kitchen flooring, (just before the inlaws turn up for lunch too).bangheadbanghead

Ah well, at least it wasn't all bad, we did pick up the new car on Saturday.clap

Is your shower pump bloody loud? I've just had a new bathroom installed which came with a pumped shower and I don't like it. Powerful, yes but so loud I feel rushed into getting out just so I can shut the damned thing off.

Good luck with that one; my boiler literally blew up 4 weeks ago and British Gas took their sweet ass time in coming out; they cancelled my appointments twice (both on the day of the appointments) and then told me last week that they could do sweet FA for me mad

And to top it off it's been snowing here in Aberdeen since Friday; I cannot feel my feet frown

The old pump (Triton 550i) was louder than the new one (Salamander CT50). Both were sat on a small piece of carpet to cut down on the noise, but they are still pretty noisy though.

You can hire them from Rentabrat, specifically for getting faster service...

'Have you got any snotty kids I can hire for the day please?'

'Let's see - ah yes, we've got 14 in stock, all snotty and ready to go. What age do you want, and boy or girl?'

'Don't mind really, as long as they look really sick'.

'No problem sir, we'll send one over by taxi right away'.

Although in that case it's because they're fed on crisps and cigarette smoke...
