Twin nephews each got iPod Touches for their birthday yesterday, so they asked me to set them up and register them.

I downloaded iTunes onto their pc and set up an iTunes account for each of them - using different email address but the same card details.

Now when Nephew A downloads apps (on the iPod, wirelessly), they appear in iTunes. Same for Nephew B. However, when they sync their iPods, the apps that Nephew A downloaded will only work on B's iPod and vice versa? If they try their own apps, they open and close straight away?

I'm stumped as to why that might be. I've made sure that they are signed in to their own accounts on iTunes when syncing but it makes no difference.

Would they be better off using the same email address (and therefore iTunes account), or get one to load iTunes on another pc and use that?

Two user accounts, with a shared iTunes account and Library - problem solved, so long as they log into their own account.
Info on this on Apple's Support section of their website.

I presume you mean 2 User accounts on the pc?

If so, that's no the problem I'm having. Both are using the same pc user account, with different iTunes accounts. All the apps they have both downloaded show in iTunes but they don't all work on both iPods.

That's why I'm advising you to set up two different accounts on the PC, each sharing the iTunes Library, but subsequently their own account, as each App (paid for) has be be purchased twice if both are to have it on their iPod Touch.
If it's just music/video purchasing, then they'll be sharing that since it falls in line with the 5 computers (max) limitation, so only one iTunes account is needed, or the file only needs bought by one, for both to use.
