As per title really- was just wondering what people have thought 'that would make good tv' but isn;t actually on for you to watch!

I'm always after more glamourous, expensive looking shows, but I'd also like a basic car testing sort of old-TG style thing, with boring cars and boring tests hehe

PH TV

Actually, who would be the presenters?????

Garlick for the second-hand bargains bit?
BossCerbera for supercar testing?
Dinkel for the classic car bit?

An old Top Gear / 1st series 5th Gear programme.
Properly structured like old TG was with specific weekly sections for Motorsport / road tests / used cars / news etc.
With Tiff Needell / Chris Harris for the fast stuff, Quentin Willson for used cars (may be unpopular but I grew up with him on TG) and maybe one or two of the Autocar guys, they seem pretty good on their videos.

I wish they'd make a show (with suitable content) called Super Dinosaur Racing, Lasergun Killing Bikini Babes From Hell.

Something like grand designs, but for engineering-y stuff. You know, nice camerawork budget, genuinely interested presenter, not too dumbed down/mass market.

Something like a Fred Dibnah for modern engineering?

I'd watch that.

A modern Bad Influence, something mainstream that treats games seriously, maybe along the lines of Film 2009 etc. It'd have separate PC, online and console segments, upcoming tech, a retro section and useful stuff like how to make your own games, get into the industry etc. Would also include a guest 'zero punctuation' segment (without the sweary bits) by Ben "Yahtzee" Croshaw.

Still can't believe this hasn't been done in the mainstream for fifteen years since Bad Influence was cancelled!
