Does anyone on here make the old style Uk number plates for 1/43 die cast. Ie the wider letters & no eu blue tab on the corners.

Minichamps now do number plates for their models, you can choose from UK, France, Germany etc. How it works is you purchase a voucher from your Minichamps dealer, this allows you to go to the Minichamps website and order your custom plates. Details on the website somewhere ...

... found it, here's the link:

Although I suppose anyone with decent software would be able to do it themselves. I used to use Letraset applied to decal paper, now I just print straight onto the paper using a colour laser printer.

MS Excel is fine for producing 'plates. Just a bit of trial & error with the cell dimensions and font sizes and you can make for any scale - then laser print onto waterslide decal paper as above, (but do follow the instructions that come with the paper).

Crafty Computer Paper sell the paper.

If you're going to do DIY plates, get the font to do it with smile
http://www.dafont.com/uk-number-plate.font

That site has a custom preview, so you could type in your plate, take a screenshot and print it to the right size.

More fonts here, for plates from Europe and worldwide http://www.leewardpro.com/articles/licplatefonts/l...
