I've just read TVR - Ever the extrovert. ( http://www.motorbooks.co.uk/notes.asp?bookid=91698) which was a decent enough read, but perhaps not enough detail for my liking.
Can anyone offer other recommendations of good TVR reads? I enjoy learning more, and definitely want to buy another book on the history of the marque.

When I get home I can tell you of a few to avoid if that helps. There are quite a few dull books relating the same information with a few different pictures but I've not yet found anything that really kept my attention. The best stuff I've found is reviews from old car mags from the 90s from ebay. Car magazine and Autocar were pretty good but not the in-depth history I suspect you're looking for.

The 2 Robson books cover the period from the very beginning to 1993, and are quite detailed in terms of specs, build numbers etc.
These 3 are an assembly of various magazine articles and road tests, includng Autocar and Performance Car, from 1959 - 2000.
Muscle & Curves covers the period up to 1994. There is quite a bit of duplication between the 2 Tipler books, one up to 1998 and one to 2003, but lots of racing shots and lots of work in progress shots inside the factory.

The early years are covered in great detail in "Success against the odds" by Peter Filby.
Good read but now as rare as rocking horse doo doos and getting quite pricey when one does surface. I did read somewhere that he was going to do a sequel but that doesn't seem to have happened yet.

Peter's sequeli sbeing delayed, but the delay is a result of more content. The first book is superb. We were lucky enough to buy a second copy at the Brussels Motor Show three years ago, it is new - never been opened. I'm not doubting you but it's difficult to know what's true or not in a book of history unless you have something to compare it with.
