I can recall several situations, usually regarding little ones, where I have had to discipline them but felt soooo bad afterwards, pure heartbreak.

In this scenario, I got home saturday evening to discover my driveway was blocked, I didnt recognise the car and tooted the horn for several minutes, but nobody showed. Kids in the car, shopping to unload, it bugged me, as it happens often, they just park regardless, sometimes till the next day.
2 hours later no sign of the owner, so I called the council, who can either tow it away or ticket the car, i chose the latter, as I didnt plan to go out again.

1 hour later, I discover the car belongs to the brother of my next door neighbour, a little old lady who accused me of being un-neighbourly (I have never actually seen or met her before). I tried to explain without being rude (whilst she was having a go at me), that I didnt know it belonged to her or I would have knocked, but she wasnt having it. I felt pretty awful as getting a ticket is not nice, but I didnt feel I had a choice.
All minor stuff, but I felt bad and thought perhaps I could have been more patient or understanding, I even considered giving her the money for the ticket, but my conscience talked me out of it.

Im going to hell arent I?

Anyone do something however justified , but felt guilty afterwards? or just me frown

Nah, don't feel guilty- I would have expected a note to be left in it at least.

Parking in someone's drive without asking is bloody rude, she was the one being 'un-neighbourly'. How were you supposed to know whose car it was?

So she had a go at you for being un-neighbourly, because she was being an excellent neighbour by using your car parking space?

Her visitor got a ticket by the same system that protects her parking space?

If you’re going to hell for that, budge up a little.

Why can't people just apologise when they get it wrong.

Man up Pussy! wink

Seriously, stop feeling guilty they are clearly inconsiderate tts. Next time they leave kids in the car open the door and shoo them towards the main road. fking Retards, they shouldn't be parents if they lack the ability to keep an eye on their kids and the courtesy to realize when they are being a bad example.

Put 65,000,000 people on an island and then apply stress with too many regulations and taxes, and they start getting twitchy - just like any population of animals.

I once split up with a girl to go out with a hotter one. The first one was nice, and had never done anything but be good to me. She was in tears when I told her that I didn't want to see her anymore, and it transpired that she'd also found out the same day that her parents were getting a divorce. I felt pretty st. So I nailed her one last time and then started seeing the hotter one. It all went tits up less than a year down the line, so I guess I got my just deserves.

Her brother shouldn't have blocked your drive. He could have at least left a note on his windscreen advising of his whereabouts if you needed his car shifting, or made some response to your leaning on the horn. He's an inconsiderate toad who got his just desserts and you shouldn't feel guilty. End of.

Ditto. You shouldn't have apologised. I find people like that are w8nkers of the highest order. They'll probably block your drive on a regular basis as 'punishment'.

Jesus. "hurt" someone?
Anyway- the stupid old inconsiderate cretin deserved it.
Just tell her to wait and see what happens next time she falls in the snow and can't get up.

Oh dear, its good to talk biggrin

She seemed like a nice old lady, from what i could tell in between the telling off, like she couldnt believe I would take such drastic action, she might not have had her heating ration this month...... smile

Doesnt stop there though, took my son and his mate to the cinema, my boy decided to pinch a sweet from the pick n mix and run off laughing with his mate in tow, apparently his mate `dared` him.
I called him over and in front of the attendant, told him to pay for it, he reached into his empty pocket, a ball of fluff came out and tears welled into his eyes, I told the attendant to call the police and report him for stealing. (The attendant was in on the life lesson).
A little OTT perhaps as the uncontrollable sobbing, shaking and total fear that followed, broke my heart frown
