Brand new car, tar spots all over it already.

My Mrs took delivery of a new car over Christmas. I nipped out yesterday to give it a quick wash to remove a months worth of snow, salt and general grime.
The flipping thing is already covered in tar spots and resembles a Dalmatian.
I was tempted to treat the spots with engine degreaser but as the teperature had dropped, and it was getting dark, I decided to wait for another day.
What's the best stuff to remove tar, and what wax is reccomended for treating new paint? All advice greatfully received.

Tardis is good stuff but remember to wash the paint afterwards and then reapply some good quality wax.

WD-40 will also remove the smaller spots.

This is my favourite at the moment and cheap too...Valet Pro - Citrus Tar and Glue Remover.
