i once saw someone tie his rather expensive boat up on the quay at high tide with no slack.

he came back to find his boat hanging in the air!

no, no, i have never stuffed a boat up on the bricks before ......... well, other than ..... and ....

Hope he managed to get a coat of antifouling on before high water.
