Joikuspot on Nokia N82

Thanks to the ever popular Apple iPad thread someone mentioned Joikuspot which would turn my Nokia N82 into a little wifi hotspot and thus I would be able to use my iPod Touch on the road and negate the need of an iPhone.

I downloaded the free trail version and was up and running in minutes. My iPod and my Mac could see the Joikuspot like another router.

BUT when I exited Joikuspot on the Nokia the Nokia's own wifi scan kept reconnecting to it and draining the battery. I could not delete the access point as it was in use and even after I deleted Joikuspot from the phone it kept reconnecting and using power as well as not letting me connect to the internet via normal 3G or my own home router.

In the end I had to put the phone in Offline/Airplane mode and then delete the Joikuspot access point.

What a palaver!!

Anyone else had this problem? Shame as it seemed to be an answer to connectivity away from home. Maybe it's a bug with my Nokia as I had a problem with battery drain before and it turned out it was still trying to connect to a BT Openzone I had briefly used miles away.
