E28 project progress
Discussion
I was sure I had posted this but can't seem to find it anywhere to update it, so anyway......I bought this E28 that had been stood since 1999. I knew the head was cracked and that it would need a fair amount of work, but it seemed good enough to save. I got it home on the flatbed and started looking at what was required.

First was a new head, and while I had it in bits .....a bit of a spruce up.

I had to repaint the bootlid and rear quarter panel due to bad scratching, and located a set of later E34 15" alloys with new tyres. I also mopped the entire car three times to get the crud off. Newer bumpers were needed to replace the rusted old ones.
I'm hoping to have it running in the next week. All the gaskets are now here along with a cambelt kit and a new exhaust.
