Nurburgring 24 hours
Discussion
Hello all,
I've never been to the Nurburgring 24 hours before and I was looking for a bit of advice. We've done Le Mans a few times (but always in a hotel as we've been with our Dad!) but as a package with Page&Moy. This year we want to camp and go to the Nurburgring event for a change. Does anybody know of anyone who does camping packages, all I've found is Race Tours (anyone used them) and they don't have much info? Also, I gather that the race ticket can get you into the campsites (where are they?!) but you need to get an extra ticket on the gate to take a car in, is there not a risk that the site will be full and how much is this ticket?
I would be really grateful if anybody knows the answers to any of the questions as I expect we will need to start booking bits up asap.
Thanks a lot.

thanks guys. nightmare about the lack of English radio - Radio Le Mans should get their asses over there! can't actually make it to Le Mans this year now, so that is totally removed from the equation. how easy is it to move around the track? i guess you need to get in your car to get anywhere?
It is a great event to go to !
do the main gp track during the day then head into the woods at night ......just full of mad things going on head to the Carousel section of the track ...... you can drive there but it could be better to walk .
Cheaper than le mans and as much fun, IMHO also get there a day or so before to see this historic races !

It is a great event, there is camping at Mullenbach but I have not stayed there before. Last year we camped in Nurburg with friends.
I think we will be looking to book mullenbach this year so need to get a move on, thanks for reminding me.
We did the GP circuit in the day and then parked up at Bruunchen before donning walking boots ready for the hike through the Forrest to the Karusel.
N24 is very different to Le Mans, just as good but different. Its a busy event, the largest sporting event in Germany each year in terms of numbers.
A couple of my best memories from last year were seeing the old M1's charging through the section down by Am Tiergarten (the noise was incredible) and also a yellow E36 M3 that had its rear end taken off in the first few hours of the race but still made it to the end looking nothing like it did on the start. Brilliant.
