Leatherhead traffic

What is going on with Leatherhead at the moment?! The drive from the M25 on the A243 (Leatherhead by-pass) for the last year has been fine, no issues at all.

However, at the moment it's always backed up halfway to the M25, is there some kind of works going further down the road at the moment?

Works outside Downsend School on the way to Ashtead. Completely blocks up the roundabout at the top over the M25. Complete deadlock last night.

Yes, drove through at about 7pm and noticed they've put temporary traffic lights at the crossroads. Must be hell during rush hour if it's affecting the A243 - it's about 2 miles away by road!

Trying to get out of the office was a nightmare last night, fingers crossed it will be fixed soon enough...

Yes it's an f-in nightmare but essential works.
