Im currently in the process of ordering some tiles from italy in the form of these:

www.blmarmi.com (its a flash site... urgh)

Icestone Botticino for those wanting to look.

Its going to be the feature of my wetroom and be a stripe 600mm X 2000m on which my concealed shower will be attached.

Every where I look its £280+ per sq meter and they only sell them in sq meter packs so I would need 2 packs, except for one place that is sold by the box??

So they are offering a box of 600x300 tiles for £210 and in the box they categorically state its 8 tiles which seems to be 600 X 2400, enough for the stripe.

Now the concern I have is Im sure they are going to be wrong and its more than likely a typo and instead of 8 in a box its going to be 5 or so which is not enough. I have talked with them and they stated 8 on the phone, but they have none in stock to prove this 8 in a box.

If I was to order the box and get them to state its a pack of 8 and in 2-3 weeks when it arrives I find out it is only a pack of 5/6 what is my comeback as I then have to wait another 2-3 weeks for another box which I didnt order on the back of the fact they reckon 1 box is enough.

So what would you do?

Another idea is to go direct and they are offering to send me 2.16sq meters for 340 euros all in, including couriers costs.

Get it in writing that there are 8 in a box for a start but if you're ordering from Italy and reject them I reckon any chance of recompence is nil.

Im going direct to Italy as they are give me a very good deal on it all where its only €340 for 2 boxes which included in the exchange rate and delivery to me is a damn good deal... plus its 3-5 days instead of 2-3 weeks.
