My 'Wish list' for the 4G or 4.0, whatever it may be called:

5Mp camera, with xenon flash
OLED Screen
User interchangeable battery
Better battery life

And for £20 it does a really good job of amplifying the sound, and giving it a bit more 'oomph'.

Plus it takes no power, so it just sits there, hence is completely portable.

I think its great.

This has always baffled me as to why it's so hard.

The music is right there, on your phone. Its your music, so why can't you just select the music as a ringtone?!!?!

Given that we don't have any 4G networks in this country (apart from some small trial in Slough) I'd sat that 2011 is the earliest we will see a 4G iPhone.

I suspect the next iPhone (with higher capacity etc.) will come June time, still be called 3GS (or 3GS+ etc.) and will have OS 3.5. They may call the OS 4.0 but may steer away to prevent confusion and bring OS 4.0 out when 4G comes along.

He means 4th generation, not 4G network.

I'd like a better camera, plus some method to tie a strap/lanyard to the device so I don't keep thinking I'm going to drop it. Oh, and maybe a better phone signal (receiver?).

I'm not botherer about replacing the battery - when it finally stops recharging in 3-4 years I'll pay a service place to change it.

Apple to allow people to create an app that allows you to quickly, and easily turn on/off:

• bluetooth
• wireless
• 3G
• Location services
• Airplane mode

Without having to go through the sodding settings menu all the time!! In fact, much like Cydia's "SBSettings" (or "Bosspref" prior to that).

Current SDK rules permit anyone from launching one..

I also think you'll see the form factor of the 4G mimicking that of the ipag - metal body enclosure with a black plastic 3G antenna.

My personal feeling is that 4G iPhone and OS 4.0 will launch at the same time, and that Apple will trumpet multi-tasking on both this and the iPad as the next big innovation. Some app developers have been reporting incidences of OS 4.0 in their analytics data for some time, and I think that in some quarters there was surprise that iPad was announced without it.

My 3G is now due for replacement. It has cracks on the back and the headphone socket doesn't work, but I shall be trying to keep it going until June. Interestingly, the battery life hasn't degraded at all. It is just as crap now as it was the day I bought it.

Better quality materials. Ie plastic cover and chrome surround more scratchproof.

Better battery - Yep.
Camera with flash - Suppose the flash could be the apple logo! That'd be funky


Also, for the white iPhone, the front screen surround should be white aswell. At the moment it looks cack.

3G and 3GS were both revealed at WWDC, which happens in June. In addition a second iPhone less than 12 months after 3GS is unlikely.

I would like it to come with an integral self-propelled seat
