Uhmmm .ai to PDF conversion - help!

Hi all,

I've got a .ai file (business cards designed by mates), but the printer needs them in PDF format. They can't do the conversion either because it was made on a newer version of illustrator than they have. Photoshop isn't helping me as it's only converting one half of the card, not the other.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Cant the person who made the file save it as an earlier version.
I'm guessing it was made on CS4 and you have CS3?
