Shops you miss.
Discussion
I am not talking about Woolworths or major stores but the small odd independent ones that were about but no longer exist.
For me, an electronics shop in London Road South, Lowestoft - It used to have loads of electronic junk and in those days (early 80's) there was lots of old computer and other parts from Marconi etc.
Another, in Southwold 'Rutlands' I think it was called - THE local model toy shop and as a child I would purchase bags of plastic soldiers and odd Airfix kits.

Beatties (Toys/models).
Beatties were tops - used to love the one in Blackpool, used to save up for new chassis/tyres'n'stuff for my old TCR kit, head on in there for some new wheels and marvel at the performance improvements.Another one I definitely miss - the old music Megastores, like the Virgin/Our Price/HMV megastores that they used to have in manchester.

Clements (unique to Watford).
Beatties (Toys/models).
Bunces (another Watford one).
Didn't Clements become John Lewis or was that the dept. store at the other end of Watford opposite Waring & Gillow?Clements (unique to Watford).

Bunces (another Watford one).
ETA: Google reveals that Clements is still there, selling furniture in the basement of what is now TJ Hughes.
