If you have bodywork that is coloured gel coat, what happens if some chav keys it. I assume the colour goes all the way through but what do you do about the gouge?

do you mean like a 'one colour' plastic body part like on a smart car? or like they often use on boats?

If someone keyed it how would you repair the damage?

hmm...good question.....i would imagine you could fill it with more of the same stuff but that sounds like a bugger to do from a practical standpoint...

will ask my chap and see what he reckons smile

Repairing damaged gel-coat is easy. Just get some mixed up gel-coat of the right colour with some hardner & catalyst& then knife into the damage. Then rub back & polish.
The difficult bit is getting the colour right, best to get a small pot of gel-coat when you buy the car.
