I have a M400 with black wheels, the problem is i need to get them refurbished but I can't get the plastic/silver fake nuts, and they will need to be removed to get the wheels done. I have been onto Noble but they can't help. Has anyone else had the same problem.

I seem to remember that Urbaliser, who posts on here, replaced his with proper stainless ones... just ground off the thread and stuck them on.
I'm sure he'll be along soon to comment/advise.

I think you either have to remove them or leave them in - either way they will be damaged - maybe less so if you try and knock them out. Many just leave the resultant holes open and TBH they look fine. I know some have tried stainless replacements but they will be heavy and could come loose. You could also try and buy replacements but difficult to find - I believe they come from the factory in South Africa. Surprise the factory were not more helpful.

I think a couple of people have left them out and not replaced them, and as David says they look fine.

There's no cheap way around replacing them sadly.
