Very early S6 with 35,000 miles, no mention of a rebuild. Price sounds about right given the lack of info from the seller on servicing, condition, money spent etc.

Price is offers over £8800 I think, not as cheap as the 99 speed six Cerb that sold before Christmas on here for £6500 ish IIRC, however I think that car may have been written off since if the salvaged one on ebay is the same.

Looking at history, the seller has rejected an offer of £8,100. I've requested history details. I'm also looking at a 4.5 from a dealer at £14.995. Big difference in price, I'm just trying to gauge the difference in between the cars!

S6 cerbs have actually held their values for the last few years imho. They have always been cheaper and have been going for hardly any dosh for many years. They couldnt really fall any further, plus the better engine options these days has meant the prices havent really changed in years.
£8800 for a S6 Cerb unseen is madness. £8800 for a S6 Cerb with a healthy engine, good chassis and good history is ok but I would want more off to cover the engine rebuild.

But you could afford a 4.3 engine with what you save at purchase time OR drive it until it blows up and stick an LSn engine in.

An S6 Cerb for less than £9K in the world of performance cars (if it's in good condition of course) is an absolute bargain. It's a 350bhp sports car with supercar performance!!

The S6 Cerb had a list price greater than the Tuscan when new and you don't find good Tuscans for less than £10K. It has the same engine as the 4 litre Tuscan and in today's world the Speed Six can be a solid, potent, reliable powerplant.

I'm not saying an S6 is better than an AJP, it's just different. Look at the VMAX results if you're worried about performance. Also I believe Peter Wheeler used an S6 Cerb as his 'company car' for some time. I'm sure he had a choice of other cars

4.5s will always be more desirable and cost more but the vast difference in prices between say an S6 and a 4.5 means in terms of value for money many S6 Cerbs are a complete bargain. Actually all Cerbs are great and bargains, but the S6 is probably the biggest bargain of them all.

That had a gearbox defect too at time of sale. Was still a bargain.

Weird pricing on Cerbs/Chims/Tuscans when Griffs/Sags are doing so well.

Yes I was aware of the gearbox fault but I think the guy who bought it on here posted that he had the car inspected and the engine was in good order so for less than a grand to sort the gearbox a fully working car for £7500 I would have thought which is still a very cheap car.

HMMMmm. Well it's only in Basingstoke, so I may have to go over there and have a good look!

was in the classified's on here for a while but never sold, looks very similar to one i veiwed early last year but can't remember the reg. if you veiw it and the log book shows the previous owners address as bromley and the paint at the bottom of the front bumper not quite matching then give me a shout and i'll tell you more. but i can't be sure its the same car so would rather not say to much for now.
