Currently reviewing our mobile phones (45 handsets) and have had proposals from the major networks, some i have previous experience with for Business mobiles.

However, i do not have any experience with T-mobile or O2 for business mobiles.

Does anyone who have used either of them have any positive or negative experiences of either network and customer support?

NB: I am not interested in any further proposals from other suppliers.

O2 are very capable have relatively good analysis tools, but it is better to use them through a reseller than directly. You'll get better deals and better account management. Ideally you should be using one of O2's Top 20 premier partners.

I analyse deals of this nature for a living, happy to take a call to go through the details (I don't sell mobiles so not looking to sell you another deal)

We are currently with o2 through a reseller, really cannot beat the customer service although that is down to the reseller and not T-Mobile.

Don't go near T-Mobile would be my opinion on this.

I'll 2nd that. I'm trying to get out of my contract with these clowns; on the basis that I can't get a signal from my home, which is of course where I often make calls from... their customer services (non-business) is beyond belief. Robotic company employing robotic people bereft of any imagination or common sense.

Are you aware of how O2 deal with resellers?

Smaller resellers are now only able to supply O2 minutes if they agree to be 'part of the family' so to speak. This effectively means handing over their customer base to O2, as well as giving them full control over things such as billing.

Would you want your customer base being in the hands of a potential competitor?

If you're talking about going with resellers for cheaper mobile costs, there are plenty of alternatives; Avant, Vodafone, Gamma to start with

P.S. Giving full control of your customer base to O2 is pretty much what David Plumb put forward at the Convergence Summit South 2009.

JDMFanYo: I'm not talking about handing control to a reseller, I'm talking about using a small customer service focussed team that can put you on the O2 network but you never need to deal with O2 directly (which can be a nightmare, like any call centre environment). Also in my experience you get better deals. Especially if you've done a full and detailed review of 12 months of prior call/text/data usage to build a proper client profile to minimise unnecessary minutes/data plans etc.

Thanks for all the replies. T-mobile are very aggresive with their pricing, but this may be down to them trying to build up their market share in advance of the merger with Orange.

We are not 100% sure about T-mobile as i have not really heard much positive from the consumer side of things other than their tarrifs were cheap.

Think we will be deciding between O2 and Orange (our existing supplier). O2 have by far been the most proffesional to deal with and responded well to reducing their tarifs compared to other quotes. I have been a personal customer of theirs (albeit through Carphone Warehouse) and found network to be good. Still a little more expensive, but not much in it now. The O2 Account manager lives 2 miles from our business too if there are any problems (although may find they leave and we end up with one we never see?!)

Whoever we go with, the new deal will save us at least £600 per month on our bills based on curent usage!

I've got the most confidence in O2.... will sleep on it!
