The Omega Seamaster
Discussion
Just how common is this watch?
I was at a training course today and every other guy had a Blue Bond Seamaster! I used to have one and loved it but sold it and moved on to the Speedmaster, but I didn't know the watch had become that common!
Seems like the go-to watch as soon as you get promoted? I felt overdressed in my Kobold SOA, but most people would think its just some cheapie watch.

They're popular because they're good.

They do seem to be very popular amongst us, but I rarely see them out and about. I don't think I'll ever be without one (at least not for a long time!) as it's such a lovely watch. I do love my Speedmaster, but the Seamaster has a lovely heft to it.

There are a few diffent Bond ones out, some are limited so if you saw more then one in the same room then that sounds very funnyI was at a training course today and every other guy had a Blue Bond Seamaster! My PO is nearly half a pound with all the links in the bracelet.
But still so, so comfy.

First "real" watch I bought was an SMP - the one on the left. It has been with me since 2000 and for 7yrs was my only watch and was worn everyday. Since getting into watches a couple of years ago, have had a couple of SMP's, Seamaster Aqua Terra and Planet Ocean pass through my hands. My 2254 (the one on the right) has just been sold and will be going to a new home today, but in it's place is coming an Electric Blue SMP (pictures to follow).

^^ Lovely watches Chris, I have PM'd you on TZ re the electric blue SMP.
I too have a SMP blue on blue, I am in the process of selling it and hopefully buying another! I tried to think of a watch that can do just about everything and nothing comes close to the SMP. It's a superb watch and it's popularity is well deserved.

I'd love an SMP like that - the black bezel and sword hands really do it for me. What sort of price ballpark would I be playing in?
