How to change domain names

computer related question for ya'll. i just made a website using apples iweb and its all good but what it want to do is change its stupid .me/blahblahblah address to a .co.uk anyone know of a good domain site to use that will do it all for me, i dont know if iweb can do it? anyone got any sggestions? thanks tom

I don't understand the question, but I could recommend Jamie from Register1 (google PH for it) - recommended by hundreds of PHers

I'll point him in this direction thumbup

You won't be able to change it, you will be able to create another one and then "point" one to the other.. To all intents and purposes that would be changing it..

I'm assuming you just register a new domain name; and redirect it to your existing one.

Order it, upgrade it to free forwarding, and point it at your .me site.

thanks for the rapid response everyone, i now own the web address but does anyone know where on register1 i go to or which option i need to go to to point this new address to my .me address, im not very good with this kinda thing so the help is most appreciated. tom

Just raise a support ticket... its what I pay the staff for smile


Log in to your control panel, click the domain name, and enter the address in the box (or click upgrade to forwarding if you have no box!)

Simples smile
