This is a fairly odd request, but thought someone might know a bit more than me! I'm selling an oil painting on a 4ft x 2ft canvas, which is worth roughly £50-100. There has been some interest in the painting, but so far all of the potential buyers do not live close enough for a local pickup ...

I was wondering what would be the best way or which company I should use to courier the painting safely? I'm worried either the canvas or wooden framework will be damaged in transit without some decent protection, which I don't have at hand ...

Any ideas? smile

Cheers!

Build a small frame out of a bit of 2" x 2", hardboard on the bottom, painting inside, hardboard on the top, pack with newspaper to stop it moving?

Charge the buyer £10 for the packing plus the carriage (another £10 should cover it easily)
