430 exhaust manifold

My old man has his 430 in for a service and its got a problem with the exhaust manifold, I believe a cracked weld. Its an 8500 mile car 4 years old and its about a £3k+ fix he has been told by the ferrari. Anyone else had this issue on such a lower mileage car?

Ive read that it is an issue with the 430 also, obviously the dealer says they rarely see it...

I was a member of P1 for some time and I remember the fleet managet saying it occured quite often

It's a known issue, I'd push for a warranty fix even if it's out of warranty.

Get a used manifold from eurospares or try Karl at Verdi. He did my 360 manifolds when I passed the 100,000 kilometer mark
I wouldn't pay £3K+ for a fix..

Sorry, I'm not much of a spanner monkey. Does it make any difference if you fit a non-standard exhaust?
