E60 520i - Any Good?

An E60 520i near me has just come up for sale within my budget.

53 plate, 70,000 miles on the clock and generally in good condition.

Are these engines any good and are they good for 100,000+?

I would prefer a slightly larger engine or a diesel but at the price I can't resist being interested.

That engine will work hard in that car - it might seem like hard work at times. Plus you might be soending as much on fuel as you would in a less-stressed bigger-engined version.

A 520i wouldn't be for me I'm afraid.
