Swordfish Tuscan being auctioned.

Hi Guys, I don't know if anyone else has spotted it, but classic car auction specialists H & H have got one of the swordfish tuscans up for auction on the 17th of February in Buxton.

That place is a nice free day out for those interested in cars / bikes. A bit like a small museum, but you can get close & touch

Not sure about the auction days but I'd recommend a visit on the viewing days.

IIRC there were 3/4 cars all painted the same for the film, some reused and then others ordered in that colour scheme.
I seem to remeber the film car carrying a W reg plate, making it a 2000 model year, yet this is a 2001......?

The film was released in July 2001. That would suggest to me that filming completed sometime before that in 2000? So a 2001 registered car could have appeared so long as it was unregistered until after it appeared in the film. If that makes sense.

Erm you don't pay to get in, the cafe doesn't charge extortionate prices and it is a very pleasant situation with the park & architecture. Many people just drive to that area for the simple purpose of pleasure anyway. What more could you ask for?

That was at the NEC. I have some video of the engine running with its new supercharger to be sorted out soon. I think Lee (T40 ORA) knows Pascal.

I'm perfectly aware that there were upto six cars used for the film, but the fact remains that Pascal claims to have "the" Swordfish car.

Additionally, if you read the H&H lot guide, you'll notice that the car for auction is "Reputedly used in the movie Swordfish" which means that it has not been authenticated.

The claim would be based on the fact his car is registered with the number plate used in the film and the TVR brouchure pictures at the time, it was their press/demo car.

The car was in Racing Green before Xmas - as said it now has a Supercharger and other mods.
The supercharger looked very small. (I was picking up my own car after it's service.)

Before Pascal owned it, it was owned by Martin...

Not to be a miserable or picky sod , but you do pay £20 for a catalogue and this give you access into the auction house where 15-20 cars in the action can be found. The remainder are outside the pavilion.

Great day out and the food in the cafe is half reasonable.

Ooo - I remember from a factory visit seeing one of the "bullet-ridden" ones and I thought they said they had three cars?

Whatever, I still love Swordfish. It took me a while to work out why they went for that colour scheme though. Why wouldn't Gabriel own, say, a black one or a really outrageous scheme - but then "misdirection, Stanley, misdirection"!

I thought Travolta grabbed it....or at least one of the 3, 4 or 5 or however many they used or shipped over for the film.
