Ok this is my first ever Alfa issue...

I'm not getting any water out of my front window washer jets. Yes there's water in there and it's too warm to be frozen. The front headlamps are getting water, but not the screen jets. Is there a quick solution?

I had a quick glance under the bonnet, but I didn't have time for a proper rummage yet. It looks like access to the jets is behind a plastic panel near the base of the window. Hopefully it'll just be a loose hose, but any thoughts appreciated...

ps

This occurred soon after the freezing weather, which has ben gone a few weeks now

I'm glad yours has!
biggrin

From memory the pump has at least two outlets on it so check these. Also check that the bottle outlet hasn't furred up with green mould. This happened on mine.

Yeah to get to the hose you'll need to take off the plastic panel which is held on by torx screws. I had to do this to look at my air recirculation flap, you should be able to see if the hose is still connected.

Ok thanks.

I have not attempted to locate the pump yet. Where is that?

I had this with one of my 145's. Although I could hear the pump spinning it no longer had the power to squirt it onto my screen - a new pump sorted it

If the pump is working ok for the headlights its probably the non-return valve. I seem to churn through the things.

Pump is pushed in to the washer bottle...usual culprits as mentioned already are slime wrapped around the pump and the NR valve exploding.

Today I cut out the old window washer tank, which was ridiculously too large! I will be fitting a far smaller kit car style bottle and pump when it arrives. So it will weigh much less and it can be removed in a minute if required, rather than an hour! I think the whole front end of the car was built around the OEM tank!

Anyway I found the black water pump attached to the bottles side. But there was also a white cylinder right next to the pump with the same sort of electrical contacts. I removed it and it didn't affect the rear window jets from working, What does this white lump do?
