Very Nice, not sure about the number plate though!
Discussion
these pictures unfortunately show nothing.
any car would look nice from this distance and on pictures in such a low resolution.
the seller is well known for sometimes selling some TVR´s and Lotus. those which i remeber have been restoration projects or for parts but totally over-priced.
so if you live nearby-->view the car, otherwise ask for detailed pictures, also from underneath....the seller will have facilities to take pictures from underneath..so any excuses in this matter should be a warning!!

I like this one,

Still a little out of my price range yet. Must keep saving, not far to go now.

Well, nice to see the car hasn't been a moneypit.
Not much point in quoting how much money was spent in 2001, 2002, 2003... seven years is plenty long enough for things to deteriorate and/or wear out and/or have the nuts thrashed off them. I have over £23000-worth of receipts for my car going back almost 20 years, can I ask more for it if I sell?

Hi Guys,
There seems enough interest in this thread without me adding.
Comadis - photos are poor yes, but really you need to view a car, if you judge by photos alone i think you are asking for trouble, not that serious about it anyway and perhaps do not then know what you are talking about.
I could hire a full lift and take photos but i do know see many other tvr's with underside photos listed for sale anywhere on the net, I apprciate you want to see the underside but it is not just me and your implied warning is based on nothing.
High prices..well I have sold much of my stuff on eBay, forums, club having collect aprox 20 Esprits, several porsches, lancia and tvr, I adjust prices where nessary and your more than welcome to view as high, sometimes that means "I cannot afford too though"
Druid, bizare but i think as its implied swear word its an expensive plate, check out regtransfers I think they have it up for £5k ish, at £3k its cheap
The fact that i have listed the history, that makes sense to me as everyone asks about it. Not sure why the implied comments are, its had a lot done or be maintained ?
grahamw48 - awful engine bay, maybe not as polished as yours for sure but its sound and again poor photo and not viewed, perhaps that gives the implication that the car is in a poor state but shiny steel bits in the engine bay may mean there is no oil in the sump too as the owner been too busy with the polisher
Constuctive feedback I have no problem with, and can take on board the poor photo comments, but petty digs seems to be the thread title for this and I personally do not see the point, I get why people do it, some people are in the know and do have some valid points, other are jealous and dreamers, some timewasters, some I guess have nothing else to do

guess why: they all have to hide something!!!

graham has absolutely right: this enginebay is a mess, untidy, not clean, cables everywhere. a car with a sales price in that region must definately look better than this!!
even the radio slot isnt covered, 1 wire is exposed underneath nthe centre console ..this does not make a good impression. i would rather fit a cheapish radio instad leaving it open with cables exposed!!
underneath: usual condtion: dirty, waxoyl covered chassis and suspension parts.
front suspension is rusty and looks as there hasnt been done anything in the past years (e.g. rebushed, polybushes, coil/damper upgrades)
also your lotus esprits often have been in a questionable condition, often pictured in a messy, dirty area!! that says all.

Your approach seems no better than before
You state that every car for sale has something to hide, at least i do not have to take your comments quite so to heart now...
One wire hanging blast.....
I think you view of the underside, even though you claim I have no photos of the underside, which hmm I do I think is flawed, the chasssis is in great shape, any inpection is welcome, I can see one rusty road spring you are right, but personnally i think you do not know what you are talking about. Car has fantasic history been maintained and services annually by a TVR specialist and is great value for a rare model.
I believe that my honest approach to selling has worked very well, if you really want a shiny car that is junk then yes I am not your man, I have a family and a life and do not spend my days polishing cars to make them look pretty to seel them under false pretenses. You clearly continue to view my cars and auctions and yet have a low view of them.
I wonder what you cars are hiding underneath.
I cannot stop you expressing your view, I value Grahams but yours are very border line on rude, think your generalised views should be kept to yourself and i really hold what you say to no value at all.

Lancia
I think your advert described the car in a way that I would want to view if I was interested in buying
this type of car again. (looks identical to how I bought my current Wedge !)
But at that sort of money I would say you need to visit the car to see if it looks as good as the pictures. I hope you sell it and ignore some of the sad comments that some people always put up on a car for sale.
I'm guessing that most of us on here including me would not show pictures of chassis etc unless we had done a complete restoration and had painted a nice shde of red
and a lot of people seem to want this work done for peanuts !! At least yours has had a lot of work done and you have history, and hopefully that counts for a 20 year old car
Good luck with the sale

You needn't justify yourself, lancia.
a folder full of recepits is not a prove that a car is in good nick.
the view of the front suspension gives an impression of a typical 20y old car in "used" condition without any major overhauls...which means the future owner has to do that....the enginebay supports this impression.
now you can critisize my chassis. the car is even some years older than yours.
80.000miles. (coils and dampers have been fitted 10years ago)
