The big kit includes a brand new transmission with LSD, super heavy duty axles, all mounting brackets, shifter linkage, hardware etc. No cutting, welding, drilling. I am very pleased that we were able to stick with our plan allowing use of the E153 MR2 Turbo style clutch- ACT's most basic E153 clutch option far outperforms the heaviest and harshest standard clutches available for the puny ZZ flywheel. Want to hold 645 ft-lb (RIDICULOUS) with a streetable clutch costing under $500? You got it.
You can also get our budget kit which includes everything you need to bolt up a used Camry E153 which will certainly take the power- it's possible to do this swap for around $3k including clutch if you go that route. We have LSDs that you can add now or as budget allows for under $1000. This is a great option for those of you who are tired of snapping C60's like twigs but don't have $5-6k between your couch cushions.
A little something for everyone. We'll be running the Camry E153 plus a Kaaz diff in our LSR Celica for its longer ratios. We'll be running the MR2-T E153 in our Elise and MR2-S turbo shop cars for the sportier gear ratio and convenience of the pre-installed LSD. Most importantly we won't be swapping out broken C60's every time we go to the track.
