Not had any dealings with them, but their website does ring some alarm bells... mobile as a main contact number, and no proper address for example!

That said, i've seen a few people who have rubbish websites, but are still decent/honest engineers!

So in summary... I haven't been very helpful. rolleyes

Those were my thoughts too, I'll drop them a mail and see what happens.

What is it you need doing? They seem to offer a bit of a random mix of services, but i'm sure there must be plenty of recommendations for other companies locally?

I'm looking for a decent brake upgrade for fast road use/trackdays etc. Am finding it hard to find decent discs anywhere, unless I go the full M5 conversion.

Old thread I know, but Phoenix Motorsport take care of my 850CSi. Gerry Speechley is a top class guy who really knows his stuff, and is reasonable. I have had several upgrades to the suspension and brakes along with some parts manufactured by Gerry secifically for the E31 to improve handling, and take care of the few weaknesses these cars have.
In short, I would highly recommend him for any work on BMW.

Just a shame that 15 months on he still hasn't replied to my phonecalls...

Just found this thread. You have never called me and I do not have an answering system so you have never left a message.

Why the BS? You got some kind of grudge you want to air on the forum now I can respond?

And the mobile number is because we have 3 different workshops all with a different landline number whereas I keep the mobile with me and PhoenixMotorsport were never called anything else, I chose it because my E31 was reborn after being vandalised.

Amazing the cr@p some forum members talk when they just have to get involved in something they know nothing about.

Gerry.

I too have dealt with Gerry in the past and found him to have a lot of time for the initial query, going into great detail and even arranging a mobile guy to come out and fix the problem at half the cost of Sytner Sunningdale.

With that kind of non profesional response, You WILL lose business.
Whether you are right or wrong, you just don't respond with that tone!

And just for the record I know who I believe, and so will 99% of the people who know the OP!

With the trade connections he has you may have blown a hole in your left foot too!

Couldn't agree more!

Well done Gerry, if you're lucky this will be the first result on google soon. I suspect that has just lost you a load of business in the process as I for one just don't like the tone of your response so would look elsewhere, it's not like Nigel actually said anything bad.

Wow! Textbook example of how not to respond to a thread about your garage on the UK's largest motoring website!

Funnily enough I had been looking at his garage on the web, since coming back from Paris Tunnel Run.

In veiw of getting Blue thunders get front suspension Polybushed, along with rear subframe, and some other niggly bits sorted, but as I said in previous post it has cost him at least one customer today!
