My favourite London museum - The Wellcome Trust hosts annual photography awards.

Have a look at this/last year's winners - simply stunning.

Some lovely shots there.

Whilst not hijacking the thread - it seems an apt title to continue with examples of good photography.

Now this makes you think about landscapes - I'm sure that Gitcarter has been doing this for years.. Model landscapes

The funny thing is that almost every day in my work job I'm dealing with Nanotechnology and have the ability to get really mental micro-photography of single molecules etc and the interweaving of various precursors (chemicals) to obtain different materials - but I've never thought about boosting the saturation and submitting it to a photography competition biggrin

Well maybe you should then.

What I like about Wellcome as a museum/gallery is that it brings Medicine and Art together which is really fascinating. Some of their past exhibitions have been spectacular and the permanent Henry Wellcome Collection and Medicine Now is always worth a visit. War and Medicine is brilliant if you get the chance to see it.

I also like their website with their digital curiosities

Fantastic imagery. Thanks for that link. I shall have to add the Wellcome Trust to my list of regular haunts. It looks fascinating.

Let me know what you think Emma, it's my favourite London museum and a real hidden gem. Medicine Man (Henry Wellcome's collection) is a marvellous treasure trove and their seasonal exhibitions are always very good indeed. They keep their website really fresh too - always something curious and new on there.

Will do! Medicine Now looks fascinating and this one looks like it will be extremely interesting too - Psychoanalysis and the Creative Mind: Ismond Rosen (1924-1996) http://www.wellcomecollection.org/whats-on/exhibit...
