I've got some smart shoes and I've got some shoes for kicking around in, but nothing for an evening in the pub or an informal meeting at work. The wife says I look scruffy at the weekend!

and

What have others got, and what would you recommend.

Thanks

I think you need some middle ground

The top shoes shout very formal and the bottom ones seem liek the kind of thing you would wear when being quite active.

Get some trainers from JD Sports. :P

Personally I have some trainers like these but in black and green

Get yourself a nice pair of italian leather loafers. They go equally well with jeans or casual pants. I like Moreschi, but brand is not as important as comfort. Try to get a pair with a "driver's" style sole...

Got some Merrell's about three months ago. Very nice shoes. Excellent quality, comfortable, look nice and very good to drive in.

They were £80 in Schuh, but well worth it IMO. smile

Me too, I pretty much live in my Loake Burfords, I think I'll be buying a few more of them.

Well...

This is all great feedback, and working for a building company wondered if any of these boots are available in a steel toecap

Will these trainer type shoes serve me in an serious but informal meeting or would a shoe be better?

Agreed, I have some Loakes for this purpose, very comfy for driving and sitting in the pub getting blotto.

+1 for North Face. Best shoes/trainers I've ever owned.
