Myth Busters............

Well tonight I busted the myth that this is a decent programme.

Loads of people have told me how good it is and there are always people on PH quoting there findings.

In actual fact though it is playgroup level st, the 'Myth Busters' are st engineers, st mechanics and have a grasp of physics that would make newborn featus look like a genius.

i'v got series 1 to 7 on the pc and there is more good episodes than bad.

ok, a lot of the time they dont do it as i would have and they leave too many variables but they often re-do the myths in later series with more precise methods.

and its better than Xdancers on ice without talent idol.

She's just a bit annoying. Also the girl from overhauling, she's very pretty but I prefer the the lady who does the dashboards, go figure.

I disagree about Mythbusters grasp of physics!

They do a great job of explaining complex concepts in simple terms. They also encourage viewers to ask questions and not just accept everything at face value. They're true scientists, and clearly understand the scientific process.

Also, I would totally do Kari.

I haven't watched it for ages, but where did this girl thing come from... I remember it being a beardy man and a ginger gerbil who did pretty decent busting of myths, has some exec come along and sexed it up?

Most of the time it's good. Their grasp of physics can be a bit dodgy but their experiments are normally well designed. When they're not they often go back and retest. From the program it looks like they only take a couple of data points but in reality, from reading about it, they take loads. What's wrong with their engineering?

Adam is actually VERY clever. Most of the time they have to dumb their ideas down for TV.
How fun is watching the same experiment happen 30 times for accuracy?
How fun is just showing an formula on screen and going "Oh yeah, this theory shows that it's false. We wont bother blowing up all that TNT. Shows over guys"

If it at least gets kids interested in science then I think it's a good thing.
