Hmmm, 10 cars or 2 tracks?

400MS points for 2 tracks is ridicule.

I'll not be downloading it either. 400 is a bit much for ONE track!

It's not all that much for one track; a hell of a lot of effort goes into them, arguably more than cars. I think the next car pack will be the first of the two Jalopnik ones.

Don't think I'll be getting this either. It would be nice if a DLC were free for a change. The revenue generated from the game will more than cover the costs to make this stuff.

Absolutely no chance!!!

There have been huge, HUGE arguments between developers and MS over them wanting to give stuff away for free and MS insisting they charge for it.

It's the reason there's no iplayer on the 360. MS only want Gold subscribers to be able to access it but that goes against the BBC's charter.

The sooner people realise Live is a sham the better.

Yeah I understand that, I was just saying it would be great if it was a free DLC.

I don't think Live is a sham, but I do think it is grossly overpriced and that if they could put a price on signing into your gamertag I'm sure they would!

I'd happily spend 400 points for Spa though...

+1

I don't think 400points for a track is that bad... providing it's a track that people actually wanted!!.
The Feb DLC track is on of the standard tracks in Project Gotham 4 and IMHO is just dull and souless. Nothing about it makes me want to part with MS point's at this time.

Spa (or brands) on the other hand would be my track of choice whenever I felt the need to just bomb about on my own enjoying a car. Would happily pay 400 for either of those.

If they'd add the GP circuit to the Nordschleife (a la the Behemoth in PGR) then I'd consider it…

Problem I have with the track DLCs is they never integrate properly into the game; you're at the mercy of people wanting to play it online or endlessly time-trialling if you want to drive on the new track. Especially on the last version of the game, where new tracks didn't even appear on the quick race menu!

(You could set up multiplayer races if you wanted AI cars, but that was a bit of a pain.)

As a result because they require going off in to the free race menu, or finding other people online who've sprung for the DLC, I find if I buy the tracks I race on them a couple of times and then they're consigned to the virtual equivalent of a dusty top shelf in a closet.

Might be a bit different if the track was something really must-have like Brands Hatch, but Nurburgring GP circuit... meh... leaves me to look forward to the Jalopnik user-voted pack, which is the first Forza 3 DLC I've heard about that I actually want. (I bought the two car ones, but neither was that great.)

There are probably tens of thousands of German gamers who are over the moon at this release though, and maybe it'll be a bigger seller in american & asian markets due to the current fashionability (if that wasn't a word before it is now!) of the place.

No, the new Nurburgring doesn't do it for me. Seen it and raced it on far too many games now. Brands, Spa and Donington would get my vote.
