Dusting off Forza 2

After chatting to a few people in a lobby last night, it was clear that many of us are pretty bored with FM3 already. We were talking about going back to some of the old FM2 races that used to provide hours or laughs.
So who's up for digging out some of those old classic builds, the BTCC cars, the GT40s I built, or even those Shelbys?

They are not saying that, GT5 is just being predicted to be a disappointment. That has nothing to do with FM3.I personally like it, but can't seem to get into it like I did FM2.
I loved forza 2, I havent got as exited over forza 3 -I never have enough money on it, and I don't enjoy driving without abs, which is vital for gettign the last few tenths out of your car, but there are many many aspects in which forza 3 beats forza 2, which creates the problem of forza 2 seeming dated when i go back to it... it's a horrible catch 22!
I miss being able to tune in lobbies,
I miss the old xbox live public lobbies
and i dislike the glitches that turn 10 has little interest in fixing
but other wise its an awesome game!
that said i might have a quick blast on forza 2 later.

FM3 is a truly great game, but the only downside is that Forza 2 was a triuly groundbreakingly awesome racing game, which obviusly made Turn 10's job difficult when it came to a sequal.

Another thing we are going to miss out on is the great Aniversary Auction, which for those that never experienced it was an amazing evening....ok night.
Basically unlike FM3 you could sell cars that you had bought complete with paints, this meant that there were some very special limited editions and every year about 150-200 cars would come up in a giant auction night.
A crowd of us would end up in a lobby, drinking (lots) and bidding on the cars we wanted until....er....um.....(please god don't let the O/H see this)....4-5am to bid against the Americans, was normally a great laugh and I think I ended up blowing 50,000,000 credits the last time.

Forza 2 or 3, doesn't matter, both are currently better than GT5 anyway.Should anybody wish to argue that something not available is better than something that actually exists, then maybe they can mention it to their therapist when they next chat

Oh god I'd forgotten all about that!I remember Rich, Joe and myself did that.
We ended up with some lovely cars and some real b

What possible relevance does that have to do with this thread?GT5 is taking the piss considerably, while the Xbox community have the choice of two great driving games.

But also do you rememeber all the problems caused by unlocked paints and spamming. And all the people moaning about snipers buying up all the cars released and then selling them at silly amounts 5 minutes later.
I for one am glad all that is gone.
Maybe if I had 50 million to spend no buyout auctions into the night would have entertained me.
