I've never bought a car from there - but did recently ask if they could transport a car down to London for a viewing (at my cost) - which they didn't want to entertain.

As much as I wanted that car (which would have undoubtably been acquired). I was pretty much told to come up to the showroom or forget it.

Shame, really.

Let me know what your experience is like - as the car is still there!

Thanks

Anjum

Being fair, if all dealers shipped cars about for viewings they'd all be very busy and very broke, plus the extra recleaning etc, a lot of dealers do not fully prepare a car until sold so they probably could not leave it even if you wanted it. Ask lots of questions before setting out, if you do not get the answers that you are looking for - don't go.

i bought a car from them a couple of years ago, charles is the owner and i found him to be reliable and honest, good to deal with and a man of his word.good after sales service too. i was recommended to him through a car dealer who had bought several cars off him for his own personal use. my thought are that that cant be a bad thing!
i would not hesitate to buy a car from him in the future(bit steep on price sometimes but they do haggle)

Hi wavey
We bought our Ferrari from there about 2 years ago - dealt with both Charles and Dan and found their service excellent.

We bought it in Sept and the cambelt change was due in Feb of the next year - they stated they would pay for the cambelt change in Feb ( we didnt have to ask!!) As we are so far away from them - they agreed that we could take the car to somewhere local to us - it cost them more ( about £300) but they paid it.

I am a bit fussy about customer service and would not hesitate to buy from them again.

Top 555 Top blokes!!!

Just wish they would stop sending me their stocklist...it's sooo tempting smile

Surely it would be faster, easier and cheaper to just jump on a plane and go see?? Not at all surprised they didn't want to transport it, the potential for the car to get damaged on a transporter is huge with no real idea of a sale when they get there and a day or two for the sales guy....

Quite !!

If you "really wanted" the car, its reasonable for you to have made the effort to actually go and view it yourself !

So on the one hand you say that "As much as I wanted that car (which would have undoubtably been acquired)" but on the other your not willing to travel a couple of hours to see it! Judging from the other comments above, i'm not the only person who finds this attitude very strange...... rolleyes

Depending on cars value and if you're paying for transport and potentially a valet. Whats the problem, sometimes better than 2/3 hours out of day if you have your own biz esp.

We live near London and it took about 2 and half to 3 hours to get there so to be honest it was no big deal.
It would have been a problem to get the car there and leave it to get the cambelts changed - which is why they arranged for it to be done closer to home.

The drive home ( with the car) took a bit longer....we went the long way round wink

I dont think judging by Anjums car's it was a matter of money but more than likely time.

As the saying goes time is money wink

I've known them for many years and bought a number of cars from them in that time and the service is IMHO second to none. The cars are prepared to a meticulous standard and the whole team from Charles and Tim to the guys you don't normally see are all dedicated to providing the best service and products possible. Cannot recommend them highly enough.

Sagpack.
