I'm looking for a small scale Huey Cobra. Preferably die cast, but a kit would do. Absolutely maximum scale would have to be 1:72 and that would really be a bit big. I don't know if there is anything out they, can anyone help?

There are quite a few 1/72 kits of the Huey Cobra out there.

Matchbox brought one out inn the 1970s. This is of the AH-1G model so depicts the aircraft with its original lightweight canopy framing

It is crude by modern standards and has been out of production for a long while. You can still get it at reasonable prices if you shop around.

Italeri also do an Ah-1W Huey Cobra

This is a much more modern kit and depicts a more up to date version of the Cobra. By all accounts, it's quite a nice little kit.

Hobbyboss do an AH-1F

Hasegawa do an AH-1F

Fujimi do an AH-1S

So, plenty of choices.

Ah.......sorry, but a bit of "earlymorningitis". I meant the Huey UH1, not the Cobra.

I think I'll pass. The OP can do what I did. Just Google 1/72 UH-1 and look at the results.

There are a few 1/72 UH-1 models out therer - as well as models of the various Bell 204/212 derivatives.

Hi Andy - pleased to see that you're still about. I'm looking forward to the warmer weather - Took the Chimaera out early last weekend and nearly put it in a hedge off the frosty road!
