3 things:

how much more tat can you get on a car.

BMW warranty intact? mmmm.

according to Top Marques - £69,000!!

to be fair they are also selling a CLK 63AMG for £198,000 (MB will sell you a
year old one for £60,000) so the M5 now looks good value.

Poor M5... frown And you summed it up correctly, "tat"! It is just so overdone and pointless that it beggars belief!

Can't see the point, the M5 is supposed to look discrete, if you want to shout about it buy a Scoob

Engine does look good, wonder what the true output is? Will be nowhere near 610bhp. I`d have the engine, exhaust, brakes and suspension but you can keep the tat/bling.

The engine does look good but what is wrong with the performance of a standard M5? I thought with the limiter removed a standard car was nudging 200mph anyway - why the need to be able to do 220? This seems to be a pointless trend at the moment. Not sure the car will be as driveable as a standard car either and IMHO I doubt the engine will be covered by any BMW warranty.

For the money you could have an '06 standard car and a serious track toy in the garage (CSL, Cayman, Exige, Noble). Know what I'd choose

Loving the front splitter and the bumper air intakes biggrin

610bhp - it must be mapped boys. I'd rather have a 335d.

Fantastic idea drawing hot air in from the engine bay. Must make the car sound much quicker, almost 610 bhp quick. This alone will cost a fair few ponies!

Did anyone notice the headrests with screens in (in the pics) are a different colour than the rest of the leather.

They really have gone over the top with this one. But what really gets me is that they never bothered to clean the thing before taking pictures.

+1 Part of the reason I bought my e39 was that it looks so stealthy.

Correct me if I'm wrong but the rear view mirror should be oval, it certainly is on the e39 M5.
