I'm looking at getting a new car for the wife and saw the ideal replacement today.

However there is an issue with the chassis number. On the car documentation from the dealer when it was new (all the paper work is with the car) it has a number with a 'G' in it which matches the vin on the car so no problem. But the V5 doc has the number with a 'Q' not a 'G"? Everything else checks out on a hpi check and the DVLA is saying it will just be a typo as it's just one letter and all other info is correct.

Does this sound doggy or is it just a simple typo?

I'd want something from DVLA to say that, i.e a new V5 with the correct letter/numbers on it, rather than the word of some snotty nosed welsh person from Swansea.

I've checked the V5 details with a hpi check and it's all legit and not one of the stolen ones.
I'm thinking this must be a genuine typo. confused
