Just got out the car and the boot catch motor is just going constantly so I can't shut the boot! Once I alarm and lock the car it stops but the minute I unlock it it starts going again so I can't drive along with it as the boot will be open all the time. Any thoughts?

Unless you have a wiring fault, it's more than likely that the bolts on the back of the badge are to tight. Just slowly unscrew the 2 M6 nuts until it stops clicking.

Did you jump start it? If its not badge adjustment try unplugging the doors/alarm/window controll box for 30 seconds. Its the one with 4 plugs and you only need to remove the one with a reb and a black wire coming from it.

cheers to both of you. Disconnecting the control unit cured it for about 10 seconds but then it started again. However - disconnecting it meant it wasn't making an irritating noise whilst I then loosened the badge screws. Now it is working perfectly. Much appreciated.

You're welcome. Nice when someone comes back and tells you it's sorted, I wish more people would.

Glad it is sorted, i was going to suggest getting a spoiler fitted so that the downforce would keep the boot shutbiggrin
